I know, I know, this was so last season. I've been meaning to write about this gorgeous cream blush for months, and to generally sort my beauty section out and post in it more regularly. With God as my witness, I'm determined to do at least two beauty posts a week from this day forth, and that way I won't look embarassingly out of date. The reason I am still going to write about Shu Uemura's Lip & Cheek Tint Colour is because it's still available to buy and is hands down one of the best cream blushers I've ever applied to my cheekbones.
It's part of a range called Takashi Murakami for Shu Uemura, inspired by Murakami's six princesses, each with a different personality. When this product launched at the end of last year I adored the gold packaging with colourful hearts, and I loved the idea of the different princesses, each with their own colour palettes. I still crave the Shu Uemura Black Enchantment Palette so much it hurts! The Lip & Cheek Tint comes in six colours, and I was overjoyed to get Dream Pink in the Space NK January sales for a fraction of the original £20 price. It sounded like it might be a light, shimmery hue, so I had a shock at the neon pink that came out of the tube, so bloody bright that if this is dream pink, Murakami must dream in glorious technicolour. I initially thought that only clowns or rag-dolls would be able to pull off this shade, but after some blending it settles into a really pretty pink flush that makes people tell me how well I'm looking. I love how it goes well with highlighter, and being a tint it rarely requires re-application throughout the day. I'm so glad this wasn't a limited edition product, I will definitely be re-stocking.
