Not The Kind Stationery

Today is World Stationery Day, not that I need any excuse to treat ma self to some gorgeous paper-based items. I've had my eye on Not The Kind for a while now, a funky online shop run by artist and funny lady (funartist?) Carrie Maclennan. The website is well worth a visit, not least for the amazing shop, but also for Carrie's hilarious ramblings and videos in her Stories section. 

When you purchase from the exciting array of kitsch and colourful stationery, jewellery, and homeware, Carrie sends it to you in the most beautiful hand-wrapped parcel (above). It's an amazing geometric tape and stickers sight for the eyes. 

I was really excited to get my hands on the A5 Super Joy notebooks (above), along with a cute mint green school journal type thing (great descriptions there, Sarah). I also adore my new 'please stop' rubber and geometric greetings card with the word 'love'. It was a really nice surprise that Carrie added some sweets and stickers (below) and a copy of her Ill-Fitting Rooms zine which is a hilarious collection of her trying on dodgy outfits in fitting rooms - apologies if those are your actual clothes, Carrie! It's such a brilliant idea, and Carrie's facial expressions make me die. I don't know if Carrie adds extras to every parcel, or if she was just having a drunken moment good day when she packed my parcel, but even without the gifts I am won over and want more, more, more from this shop! Celebrate the ridiculously contrived nonsense that is World Stationery Day and put in an order for yourself immediately.
