Bosco Del Merlo Prosecco

Not that I will ever need an excuse to crack open the prosecco, but Christmas (and New Year's Eve) is the official time to go prosecco-loco and my fridge becomes a bubbles-only zone (sorry, vegetables and other perishable goods). Bosco del Merlo kindly offered me these two bottles from their vineyard to try and I'm instantly in love with their unique design. I wish the white bottle was more round shaped like the rose is, it has a classic vintage feel to it, but I'm loving how pale the white is - they both make very pretty gifts for an xmas party host. The white is splendidly dry and sharp, with notes of pear, apple and acacia. It's definitely a savoury wine, and went really well with some cheese I might add.
