The Pitcher And Piano Richmond

London is slowly starting to wake up, and everyone is gleefully sharing pictures of their first meal or drink out IN AGES. I headed over to Richmond for my all important first meal, and booked one of the town's obvious outdoor hotspots, The Pitcher and Piano. This is a pub with distinctly 'pub food' fare, but is coveted in warmer months for its riverside location, and glorious sunny patio. In summary, I loved the cocktails, they do these incredibly well - the passionfruit margarita with popping candy round the rim instead of salt was divine and potent. The food is average, and sometimes quite underwhelming, except for the Bang Bang Cauliflower which was amazing, and I'd even go as far to say it's better than Wagamama's version of this spicy dish. You need to book in advance, and have the NHS Track and Trace app downloaded to sign in. The patio soon filled up and we weren't anywhere near socially distanced, so if that's an issue for you right now, you won't like this venue. I would definitely book here again, but just go for drinks (and maybe cauliflower) and enjoy the holiday vibes when it's warm and sunny.
