Rejuvology at Skin Vitality

Skin Vitality is run by the lovely Lesley from her cosy studio within a hair salon in Highgate Village, north London. With over 20 years experience, Lesley offers a range of treatments, often tailored to the needs of individual clients. I tried her Rejuvology facial, an hour of relaxing (and sometimes intense) massage on the face, head, neck and shoulders to tone the muscles and connective tissues.

Designed by the ‘priestess of face massage’ Abigail James, Rejuvology is supposed to be like ‘yoga for the face’ to deeply relax you, whilst also delivering results akin to a non-surgical facelift. With regular treatment, you can see a real change in your face, including tighter and more supple skin. God knows how Lesley keeps a straight face with all the face smooshing she does, every facial muscle is getting worked on, and there’s a bit she she moves both hands up in rapid succession towards the cheekbone that took me by surprise.

I loved having a more holistic facial for a change, no lasers or needles, just the skilled hands of Lesley. There’s still deep cleansing, and moisturising, but most of the hour is on massage. Many a time I’ve had a facial and wished the massage and lymphatic drainage section lasted longer, so this is an absolute treat. Combined with more clinical facials, I can see this having a lasting difference on my face.

Book Rejuvology (in the Relaxing Facials section) and enjoy one of the most relaxing and results driven facials I’ve ever experienced.
